Was at Opium on Friday and there's this really rude, white bleached head guy, that we found really rude and unprofessional.
They can change the DJ too, not so hot. Oh, and the prices, I wasn't even drunk with the amount of cash I spent.
We had birthday drinks at Opium on Friday night and a table had been booked 4 weeks in advance. On getting there they said we couldnt book tables in the bar area, though another group had an area booked so they had obviously messed up.
They then tried to charge 2 friends entrance fee because they were late, though there was a group of 20 spending money in the bar. The drinks were extortionate, don't think I will go there again.
Overall verdict - poor.
I visited Opium on Saturday night. The place was hot, very hot! I had just entered the room and thought that I was in a sauna. They need to get get rid of the DJ. He cannot play if his life depended on it! However there was no problem with any of the Opium staff as they were quite friendly.
I went a few weeks ago to Opium and I loved it. The door staff were lovely to our party and we had tons of fun inside and partied til four as it closes late too - bonus! Go to Opium on a Saturday. It has the best music and is a really good night! Ask them to make a chocolate martini thingy - it's heaven!
I'm being generous by giving Opium a one! If there was a nought I would definitely put that. I'm not even going to call it a rating! Opium was pure disappointment - not from the club, but from the prick at the door! He allows some people in, but not others. This is very unfair and extremely rude. Fix up, Opium.
Have you ever been to a nightclub that you always want to go back to and every single night out makes you enjoy it more? Well, for me Opium is that like that. I know whenever I go I will definitely have an amazing night out. It's always really hard to leave because every next song is better than the last one, so we usually end up staying there til the very end.
And Opium is not only about the music, friendly staff, delicious food and cocktails, it's about the vibe which is chilled and happy.
There’s a pompous yellow haired wannabe at the Opium door. I think he calls himself the club promoter. He is a very rude, up himself and thinks he is too good. He lies too much, saying the people on the guest list have already gone in or you are not on the guest list even though we made sure we were before we left to go there. Don't go to Opium it is a total waste.
We arrived at Opium and were on the guest list as a sub promoter put us on it but the charming guest list woman couldn't be bothered to look through her list properly so then she called the stud - the guy with the stupid bleached blonde hair.
He simply looked at us an said, no because supposedly it was a guest list only event, even though you could purchase tickets at the ticket office! So we didnt argue, left and got a table at Tantra. Don't bother wasting your time at Opium!
