I went Taboo Friday and I had a brilliant time!
The staff were friendly, the tunes were banging and I was dancing all night. Will definitely go again.
I loved it. Friday night was great. The staff were very nice and the music was a treat.
I went to Taboo Friday night and I loved it. I've been there before and it wasn't all that, but last night was great.
They had new DJs, I think they were called General Twins and they were excellent, playing the best funky house and old-skool I've heard in a long time.
Taboo is rubbish. I think that the promoters should stop trying to make people go by writing good reviews! The waitresses are all a bit backwards and kept trying to make a move on me when I was sitting with my girlfriend. Which might sound great but not with waitresses like the ones in Taboo.
The service was slow and drinks were slammed onto the table. The tables themselves are small and cramped so that when I needed to go to the toilet I had to get several people to move which was stressful. The toilets are down some dangerously steep steps in near darkness.
Also there did seem to be lots of foreign middle aged men shouting and girls just hanging about. It made a really uncomfortable atmosphere and I do not want to come back here. Ever.
Most clubs and bars are boring this time of year but my recent visit to Taboo has given me that clubbing vibe again. We first had a meal which was yum! And then were surprised to find that downstairs also had a club.
Not knowing what to expect we ventured down and discovered a small club with funky tunes and any time we got hot we could pop back upstairs to the Taboo lounge for a breather - phew! It's not often I've been in the same place from early evening till the late hours!
My friends and I recently booked a table at Taboo for cocktails at the upstairs bar - I found the staff to be incredibly warm and they even made up cocktails that were not on the house list for us! The party downstairs started to really get going from 11pm with great music. I like the intimacy of Taboo - it works!
I went to Taboo on Friday as part of a party and had a really good time. It is smaller than it looks from the outside but cosy. The DJ was great! The service was sometimes a bit slow but then sometimes you expect this in a busy and popular place. I would go to Taboo again.
I'm not sure what the previous guys are on about! I've been to Taboo four times over the past three months and I've never been disappointed with service and vibe. I have been with both my partner and with friends, and neither have complained. As for the £10.00 entry fee - I think it's a good deal for such a cool place in Central London as Taboo.
