Having spent the last half hour reading all 67 reviews of Movida, I can't help but laugh. As a regular for the past 2 years, every review that has slagged the club off smacks of sour grapes. So you didn't get treated like one of the "VIPs" you seem to have spent all night watching? Get over yourselves!I have never been to venue on a Saturday night that wasn't packed. People jostle - get over it. And yes, it is expensive, that's the idea. If you can't afford it don't go; and if you do go, don't moan about it. If you can't afford a table, then you can't sit down. This is standard in the West End & well-known, so if you don't like the policy, again don't go. All bouncers are rude, it's their job to expect trouble and deal with it if it arises - again standard in all venues. So for those of you who didn't enjoy it, it's your own fault so stop bellyaching and please please never come back. I'm not wealthy but have had the best times of my life in Movida. It's all about the company you keep (try having fun with your friends instead of moaning about what people whom you've never met are wearing?) & playing the game. In this type of club it is a game and it is fun if you stop spending all night judging other people.
It's just not about movida anymore!!! It use to be the most amazing club but now it's gone down, especially the crowd!! The bouncers at the door have always had such an attitude, and even with being a member I realised after a year it wasn't worth it! I had my fun but there's so many better clubs out there like maddox, dolce and Annabels ofcourse! Don't believe the hype anymore!
disgustingly rude bar staff - full of girls that can't speak english hanging around guys who stand around their one bottle of champange the whole night.
I spilt my drink by accident at the bar and the bar man looked at me like I had just murdered someone - won't be going to this place again.
Manners cost nothing!
I actually couldn't believe how rude the bar staff were here- and its full of wags hanging around d*** heads who they think have money - who stand round a bottle of champagne in a bucket all night pretending they are rich - bearing in mind the girls are just after guys with money - music was great then they had this shit r & b hour which made me just want to leave. I spilt my drink at the bar as it was wet under the glass and the bar man looked at me like i was sh*t - they are bar men no better than anyone else - I wont be going back there
If I could give this no stars I would.. I love going out in the west End but this is the last club I ever think of going. The place is completly over rated and is very far removed from the classy image it is meant to have
I can understand why some people love this place: beautiful young girls and staffs, some hot guys, young atmosphere, commercial music and all that jazz.
However, I would rather go to Crystal (which I kinda enjoy but too superficial as well).
This place is just too packed! All the girls pushes you (like 'you bitch, you pushed me I m pushing you back coz I m better looking than you, idiot!') and all the guys want to **** u.
Way too superficial honestly, no class, and it is just a cool place to go if you are one of those city boi, public school boys n girls who uses their parents cards so you could look cool in front of your rich friends spending all of the money on drinks for your bd- or- if you are one of those money maker who want to shout out 'I finally earned so much money! I m gonna spend them on champaign and look soooo cooool'.
Am I too harsh? But what can I say, this is the truth about Movida.
Staff members were rude and the venue was full of new richies and wannabes:
TOTAL LACK OF CLASS
I will never come back again...
